Reviewers

Q: I’m reviewing a paper, and I have lots of lengthy comments for the author. Is there a space limit?
A: No. And we suggest writing your comments in a word processing program such as Word, then copying-and-pasting them into the comment window just in case something happens with Manuscript Central or your internet connection, for example.

A: Email your review to the This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to be uploaded to the manuscript record.

Q: I made my comments directly in the manuscript PDF that I downloaded from Manuscript Central. Can I just upload the PDF to Manuscript Central instead of retyping everything into the comment window?
A: JAT and Manuscript Central work hard to protect reviewer anonymity as an important component of the peer-review process. Programs such as Adobe Acrobat attach identifying information (e.g., user name, license holder name) to comments made in PDFs and the file itself, so please be sure to delete all identifying user information from the file before saving it if you want to submit your review in this manner.
